Started out as farmer laborer, With continuing study Diploma, B.E, Fellow and Chartered Engineer in the field of Electrical Engineer. After Diploma I worked as lecturer, Head, in Electrical Engineering Department and Principal Polytechnic, The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara about 35 Years and last more than 20 years continue honorary work as consultant in various academics, industrial and social organizations.

I am enjoying myself as Farming, Industrial Audit, Valuation, Trainer, human man kinds, coordinates and creative development.

ACHIVEVMENTS DURING ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGE

  • – Got the administrative sanction of our Polytechnic as “Community Polytechnic” by M.H.R.D., Delhi with 14.25 lacks grant.

    – Three departments namely, Mechanical, Civil and PCT received Modrobs’ grant of Rs. 29 lacks for the development of Laboratories from AICTE.

    – Award for “Best ISTE Student Chapter” was received at the National level convention which was held at Nirma Technical Institute.

    – “Certificate of Achievement” is given by AICTE to Polytechnic at the National level convention which was held at Nirma Technical Institute.

    – Modrob Grant of Rs. 10 lacks each for Workshop and Applied Mechanics Lab. was sanctioned from AICTE .

    – The H.Sc. course were started in 80-81. The Establishment with only a few permanent and honorarium staff members continued till 1998. Due to personal efforts and representation to the Government of Gujarat, sanction for 29 new posts were obtained with the sanction of necessary grants.

    – Started a Diploma Course of Information Technology at the Polytechnic for Post HSC students having 60 seats intake.

    – Received no-objection certificate for following courses for post H.Sc. Diploma to be started with an intake of 60 students each in Grant-in-Aid pattern which may be passed & approved by AICTE for the academic year 2001-2002.

COMMON AMENITIES DEVELOPMENTS

  • – A beautiful garden in front of the Polytechnic entrance was developed with foundation of Maa Sharaswati temple with fountain, 30Nos of R.C.C benches from my own donation.

    – A permanent Parking Zone was constructed in Polytechnic from Development Charges, for the benefit of the students and staff.

    – A Common Room for the students was developed in Polytechnic with the facilities such as indoors games, water cooler etc.

    – To fulfil the want of Seminar Hall, Class Room No. 5 converted in Seminar Hall with audio-video visual aids, 100 chairs, and tables to accommodate approximately 100 participants.

    – I.S.T.E., Gujarat Section, Head quarter was inaugurated near the Polytechnic premises.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT OVER

  • THE ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT OVER AND ABOVE ROUTINE WORKS AS A CHALLENGING TASK DURING MY TENURE AS AN OFFICIATING PRINCIPAL

    (06-03-99 to 27-03-2001)

    * I was appointed as an Offg. Principal, Polytechnic, The M.S.University of Baroda on request of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor then the time, when senior staff members refused to work as a Principal under the situation when Polytechnic was disturbed Academically, Administratively, Financially and Disciplinarily.

    • The illegal water connection was found and disconnected from Polytechnic to slum areas near Bhookhi river behind the workshop of Polytechnic.
    • Stopped the activity of liquor selling etc. in Polytechnic canteen premises, which was going on for so many years.
    • Several Entrepreneurship development short-term courses were conducted at Polytechnic under the Nodal Centre for the benefit of Urban/Rural general public of Baroda and other surrounding places.
    • Stream lined the academic schedule, which in a dilapidated state for the last approximately 17 years at Polytechnic.
    • Actively associated and monitored the Parliament General Election counting conducted at Polytechnic premises for two times & got advantage of permanent fencing, lighting & Grill, & representing collector Baroda timely.
    • Started putting exam-result on The M. S. University website for Post SSC & HSC Diploma students.
    • Students admission priority list first time put on MSU website for Post SSC & Post HSC Diploma student and admission process finished within 15 days.
    • Activity associated in the development of computer room in Civil Engineering Department, CNC Laboratory for Mechanical Engineering Department., Computer Room for Electrical Engineering Department.
    • Developed I.T. Lab. for Diploma in Information Technology course with donations of 30 nos. computer chairs costing about Rs. 43500/- by my self and also take donations for flooring from my friends and relatives.
    • Made provisions for principal’s room as well as vice-principals room.
    • Teaching and examinations were streamlined as per the regular academic schedule.
    • All the posts of permanent & Temp. Teaching staffs were filled during the academic year.
    • Verified & made entry in service book for ad-hock pay-scale given by D.T.E. Gujarat State from D.T.E.Auditor.
    • Five teaching post and one Training and Placement Officer’s post was sanctioned due to representation at the Government level.

    • Several Entrepreneurship development short-term courses were conducted under the “Community Development Through Polytechnic” for the benefit of Urban/Rural general public of Baroda and other surrounding places.
    • Activity associated in the development of WI-FI central computer room.
    • Developed second floor, with 10 rooms, one administrative office for self finance course from students development (M & C) funds and donations of old students.
    • Renovated and modernize old administrative office of our polytechnic.
    • Restarted the Part time Diploma and Degree courses with approval of AICTE and Gov. of Gujarat, academic year 2011- 12.
    • Verified & made entry in service book form long pending since 2001.
    • Send proposal for The M. S. University constituted new model college for Economical Backward District (Narmada District), to the Government of Gujarat as well as MHRD, New Delhi. (from Diploma to Ph.D in Engineering, Pharmacy)
